In the year 2003 Sonic Xpress was created starting off as just a Simple E-mail being sent friend to friend.

On the 26 September 2004 Sonic Xpress was created on Free webs becoming its own site.

Later that year the forum was created on Run A Board, then later moved to Pro Boards, then later PHPBB, and then lastly it moved to invision free its home for many years.

Much later in 2005 Sonic City Web world merged with Sonic Xtreme.

In 2006 Sonic Xtreme became Sonic Evolution which was said to be permanent name but  that soon changed.

March 2007 Sonic Evolution became a part of Team Evolution ( a massive bunch of sites combined together)

Team Evolution did now work out so now the site was moved back to being a Sonic Site NAMED: Sonic Speed Zone along with the forum

A few months later do to the lack of staff and a lot of members stopped posting the forum was closed.

Monday September 2008 the forum was re-open on a new server (IPB) and continues to today

The site also continues to grow in size and popularity today

Spring 2010 SSZ Takes the next step to SSZ 4.0 powered by word press adding brand new functions and taking SSZ to the next level!
